  • Creating contact infos
  • Searching for someone's contact infos

Search

Both logged in users and site guests can search.

Create

To create contact infos, you will need to log in as you will own your data.

Under no circumstances should you create contact infos that do not belong to you. Do not create contact infos for other people, unless you either have their permission and can prove it in writing or you are in a role where you own the data for other people. For example, an HR representative can list all company employee data but not employees' personal data without their written consent.

Show this data in search returns?

Create New Contact Info Show This Data
A search will return all the Contact Infos that match your criteria.
From the list of returned Contact Infos, you can open any one to see its details.
Included at the bottom will be a list of all published Contact Infos for this particular user. In essence, this list is an indirect list for the user.
This feature determines which Contact Infos to show for this user.
If a Contact Info has this feature selected, then it will appear in this indirect result set.
If a Contact Info does not have this feature selected, it will only return for a search that searches for this data.

An example:
Let's say Joe Smith has entered the following data:
Previous Value Current Value Show this data in search returns?

cooljoe@home.com reallycooljoe@castle.com No

Someone comes along and searches for phone #: 713 888 9999.

The following result will be returned:
Previous Value Current Value Show this data in search returns? Actions

If this Contact Info is opened (by clicking the Show button), then this will appear at the bottom:
Previous Value Current Value Show this data in search returns? Actions
Joey Joe Yes Yes

By using Joe's phone number, his previous/current name also returned in the search results.

Now someone else comes along and wonders, "Hey, I wonder what's going on with my friend cooljoe@home.com..."

A search for that email will return the following result:
Previous Value Current Value Show this data in search returns? Actions

If this Contact Info is opened (by clicking the Show button), then this will appear at the bottom:
Previous Value Current Value Show this data in search returns? Actions

This feature is selected by default.
